Heating the Inner Layers of the Tire
A tire can generally be divided into three main layers: the surface layer, the middle layer, and the inner structural layers containing components such as steel cords.
With conventional tire warmers, heat applied to the tire surface must be transferred progressively into the deeper layers. To deliver sufficient heat all the way to the inner structure, a substantial amount of thermal energy is required. However, simply increasing the heating temperature can cause the surface of the tire to overheat or even become thermally damaged before sufficient heat reaches the deeper layers.
GET HOT tire warmers use far-infrared planar heating elements, which provide a fundamentally different heating approach and help minimize this problem.
However, even with far-infrared heating, reproducing actual on-track tire conditions presents another challenge: sufficient internal heating is required to raise tire pressure to the level generated during real riding or driving conditions.
By incorporating our new Side Rim Heater system, GET HOT can now transfer heat effectively to the tire’s inner structure and increase internal tire pressure without applying excessive heat to the tread surface.
This makes it possible to reproduce tire conditions much closer to those experienced during actual on-track use.
